I Hear You In The Silence

Thank you, Lord for the silence
You've given me.
Within the noise and hubbub
of ordinary living,
I easily retreat within
to hear Your voice so clearly.
No other sounds or thoughts intrude
in the midst of crowds.
You allow me to feel the needs of others,
that I might lift them up to You.
You let me see and show me their joys
that I may rejoice with them together.
Thank You, Lord, Your Spirit speaks
to my heart and I can hear!
